Microsoft Xbox HD DVD to retail for £100?

DigiTimes.com, out of Taiwan, is running a story that Microsoft have let it be known that their XBox 360 HD-DVD add-on will be on sale by Christmas for $200.

That could mean a UK sale price of close to the £100 mark for the film player.

Which means that even with the cost of the XBox, if you don't have one already, we could be able to get the first benefits of high def films well below the early price estimates of £500+.
